Chelsea Substance Use Disorder Services (S.U.D.S)
Through grant funding from the City of Chelsea, CAPIC works to address the issues faced by individuals suffering from alcohol and substance use disorders. The program goal is to provide access to treatment, sober living, and other resources to support these individuals identified by the City of Chelsea Navigators and Chelsea Police Department and to connect them to appropriate interventions in a coordinated way to increase their well-being and their ability to lead a self-sustaining life. Mobile Outreach – conducts enhanced, comprehensive street outreach in Chelsea to identify and refer persons experiencing alcohol/opioid addiction for services. Most of these individuals are homeless and living on the streets; blankets, food, basic needs, etc. are distributed. CAPIC’s SUDS Program also works with the Selah Day Resource Center to provide support breakfast, lunch, showers and direct resources
