CAPIC Crisis Intervention Program

CAPIC’s Crisis Intervention Program offers immediate, short-term help to individuals who experience an event that produces emotional, mental, physical, and behavioral distress or problems. A crisis can refer to any situation in which the individual perceives a sudden loss of his or her ability to use effective problem-solving and coping skills.

CAPIC’s Crisis Intervention/Domestic Violence Crisis Manager works closely with victims around court issues, custody issues, and restraining order requests, as well as offers comprehensive case management services, which includes counseling and advocacy for violence issues. All cases are handled in a confidential setting.

The Program collaborates with HarborCOV, Department of Children & Families (DCF), Chelsea, Revere, and Winthrop Police Departments, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Chelsea and East Boston District Courts, and the MGH Revere Haven Program. CAPIC is an active member of the Chelsea Domestic Violence Task Force, Women’s Encouraging Empowerment (WEE) Advisory Board, and the Chelsea Domestic Violence High Risk Team (CASA Divert).

CAPIC is committed to providing critical services to a vulnerable population.
