CAPIC After School Program

Our Philosophy:

The CAPIC After School Program offers a safe, nurturing and educationally appropriate environment for school aged children whose parents are working or attending school full time. CAPIC provides programming during the summer months when the public schools are not in session. The Program is a multicultural educational/ recreational program for urban youth between the ages of 5 and 12. The program primarily serves the communities of Chelsea and Revere.

Eligibility:

Parents/ guardians must be working , enrolled in a training program or enrolled in school 30 or more hours.
Must meet the income eligibility guidelines established by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC).
Must have a voucher (DTA).
Must have a referral from the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Services Provided:

Developmentally appropriate curriculum for school-age children that includes: mathematics, science, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, health, arts and craft activities, assistance with home work, and nutritious afternoon snack provided during the school year. Breakfast, lunch, and snack provided during full day sessions (school vacations, summer program). Transportation from the public schools (in Chelsea and Revere) and home at the end of day. Field trips during school vacations and summer program.

Staff:

CAPIC After School Program has a dedicated and nurturing team of Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders who work together to create a safe and stimulating experience.

Parents/Guardians:

Parents and guardians are welcome to visit anytime, and may call to see how their child’s day is going. We believe that a daily communication is important and we strive to keep the lines of communication open at all times.

Five (5) to twelve (12) years old
